"Web Hosting" costs -- the monthly charges by the Internet Service Provider   (the ISP) whose servers house your web site and connect it to the internet.

Other charges include: domain name registration, web maintenance (if required), and, possibly, search engine registration.

The Web Design Source is a "one-stop shop", handling design,  domain name registration, search engine registration, and maintenance services.

For customers who desire their own domain (recommended for businesses for marketing / "branding" reasons), the   Web Design Source is partnered with some excellent hosting companies. Most small business web sites are in the $35/month category.  Monthly charges may be more if web site exceeds 50MBps in size.

Simple web sites (under 2MBps in size), often can be hosted at no additional charge with the Internet Service Provider where you have your personal email account (AOL,  etc.).  In this case there is simply a one-time $50 set-up fee to publish your site and no monthly hosting charges.  However, Note:  With this type of service you cannot have your own domain name -- instead, you would have a sub-domain such as www.aol.com/yourusername.

Domain Name Registration

The cost of Domain Name registration is billed  directly to you by an official regestration company. Depending on the company selected, the fee ranges from $15 to $35 per year.   (Check availability of your desired domain name here). 

Web Site Maintenance - Most web sites need to be updated periodically to reflect:

• Price changes
• New products
• Updated events schedules...etc.

The Web Design Source works with each customer to determine how often their web site needs to be updated.  Pricing for such updates on how often the frequency and complexity of the changes, which is why the pricing quoted in the table below are estimates, for your budgeting purposes.   Exact pricing will be quoted during initial consultation, and outlined in the contract.

Search Engine Registration

Registering your site with the major search engines is critical to the success of your web site as a marketing tool. Over 80% of web sites are found through a search engine. As a part of our  service, the Web Design Source includes initial submission of your site with the major search engines.  We can show you  how to do follow-up submissions on your own.  Re-submiting your site on a regular basis may be advisable for increasing its chances of a ranking high against competitors.
